Lack of a beautiful night’s sleep.
Let’s just say yesterday evening lasted longer than expected. I was looking forward to coming home and feeding my face the minute I walked through the door. “They” were waiting for me on the front porch. They as in my four little kids. “We still have to go to the car wash, Daddy.” I grabbed one of them and rushed over to the car wash. I thought maybe get a pop for John, my passenger, make it a nice little outing for him. I forgot that 32 ounces is a lot of pop for a 4 year old. He reminded me later that night around 12:30. He was visit number 3 of 5 through the night (I don’t count the final early wake-up as a visit, more like an invitation to get my butt downstairs and turn on cartoons). After fresh sheets and pajamas, it was back to bed, again. But, before I left, I looked back at my little man, to make sure all was right. He was snuggled nicely, cozy, it melted my heart. Â Man, I’m tired.
